As we head off to warmer waters in the next couple of days, we will be taking some new gear to try out, along with our trusty DSLR camera setups. You can see the reviews here and on Scubaverse
in the next few weeks. We are excited about all the new gear we have which include lights, snoots, housings and a bag.
Our first item to test is the Lenzo
iPhone 6S housing. It has a great control system that allows us to use all the iPhone video and camera functions whilst underwater. We should be able to come up from our dives and be posting to social media without even opening up the housing!
We have 2 new lights from X-Adventurers
which have the ability to change light temperature whilst underwater, have an adjustable snoot for macro photography and also allow us to try out some Fluoro underwater photography for the first time. Here we will be using the UV feature at night to see that glows!
The Cinebag Square Grouper bag looks like the perfect bag to keep all your gear safe whilst getting it to the boat or shore. It also doubles as a rinse tank just for your gear! With lots of pockets for all the bits and bobs you need on an underwater photography trip, we are sure this is going to be a favourite.
Our final underwater photography product is the Saga
Magic Ball lens. This is to add to our 60mm lenses on our DSLR on the front our our Nauticam ports and creates a magical bubble in the centre of the image. You will just have to wait and see the results here soon! In addition to all this, Mares have also sent us some new rash vests to protect us from the sun whilst on the boat and swimming and snorkeling in the tropical waters of Fiji.
